It's mango season here in Miami, and it's the perfect time to learn a little bit more about our own El Mango Next Door!
First of all, where does that name come from? Those Miami natives know that mangos grow all over our city, in backyards, in public parks, even in parking lots. If you are not one of those fortunate enough to have such a lovely tree on your property, you have to play the waiting game...wait until your neighbor's tree gets so loaded with sweet delicious mangos that they fortuitously fall into your yard!
Our Mango Next Door is a combination of premium organic black tea, mango essence, and organic tulsi. Tulsi is actually an herb native to India where it is widely revered as the "Queen of Herbs." Hindus believe that tulsi has healing powers and view the herb as a goddess in the form of a plant, bestowed with spiritual powers. According to legend, no amount of gold could outweigh Krishna's power, but a single tulsi leaf placed before him in devotion could. Tulsi really does have significant health benefits, including help with headaches, stress and fevers.

We love our Mango Next Door iced on a hot summer day and we love it even more in a refreshing summer cocktail. This summer, we suggest a Moscow Mango - a twist on the normal Moscow Mule with the extra hit of some sacred tulsi!
